Terms of service
Last updated July 19, 2026
1. Who we are
Pioneer Pennant is a product of Pioneer Data Analytics, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("Pioneer," "we," "us"). These terms govern your use of pioneerpennant.com and the Pioneer Pennant applications, including Pioneer Pennant IQ and the team websites we build (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
2. What the Service is
Pioneer Pennant IQ is a coaching tool for charting softball and baseball games: pitch locations, at-bat results, command grades, opponent tendencies, and reports built from the data you record. It is a coaching aid, not an official scoring or records system, and its statistics carry no official standing with any league or governing body.
3. Accounts
Accounts are for adults (18+): coaches, instructors, team staff, and parents. Sign-in is by emailed link or code; you are responsible for activity under your email address and for keeping access to that inbox secure. Do not share an account outside your team's staff and charting volunteers.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Pioneer Pennant IQ, and its optional opponent-scouting add-on, are sold as subscriptions billed by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Founding pricing stays at your locked rate for as long as your subscription remains active. Every plan is offered at one flat price, billed yearly or monthly, whichever you choose; unless you cancel, it renews at that same price. Your price is shown on the checkout page before you pay and again in your emailed receipt. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; you can cancel any time from Manage Billing in the app, and cancellation stops future renewals while access continues through the period already paid. If a charge fails, Stripe retries; access pauses if payment cannot be collected. If you believe a charge is in error, contact us within 30 days and we will make it right, including a refund where that is the fair outcome.
5. Your data is yours
Everything you chart belongs to you or your team. We host it, sync it, compute statistics from it, and generate reports from it. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to advertise to anyone. You can export your data (CSV) from the app at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and its data by emailing us.
6. Players and minors
The Service stores athlete information that account holders choose to enter: typically names, jersey numbers, and game performance. Account holders are responsible for having the authority or consent appropriate to their team and league to record that information. Do not enter information about a player if you do not have that authority. See the Privacy Policy for how this data is handled.
7. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the Service: no attempting to access other accounts' data, no scraping, no reselling access, no using the Service to harass any player, family, team, or official, and no uploading content you have no right to record. We may suspend accounts that break these rules or that put other users' data at risk.
8. AI-generated content
Some features generate written summaries (for example, post-game development notes) using artificial intelligence, working only from the data in your account. Opponent scouting reports are not AI-written: they are computed from your imported games by fixed rules, and every read carries a confidence flag. Either way these are drafts for coaching use. They can be wrong. A human should read them before relying on them, and they are not professional advice of any kind.
9. Availability and disclaimer
We work hard to keep the Service fast and available, including offline-capable charting, but it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Back up anything you cannot afford to lose (the CSV export exists for exactly this reason).
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pioneer's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, or the outcome of any game.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we will note it in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Questions, billing issues, or deletion requests: [email protected].
